Tompokita Dive Lodge rests on the eastern coast of Central Sulawesi, precisely at the tip of the Balantak Peninsula. This region, referred to as Pulau Dua due to the presence of two neighboring islands. The area is overlooked by the imposing Tompotika, a dormant volcano whose summit soars to an impressive altitude of 1,450 meters.
The Resort
Tompokita Dive Lodge is an intimate dive resort with five bungalows that can host up to ten divers. It is the only modern dive resort in the area. The bungalows are furnished with modern amenities, including air conditioning, contemporary bathrooms with hot water and the provision of bath and beach towels. Numerous electrical outlets in the rooms ensure convenient charging for all your electronic devices.
After a day full of diving adventures, unwind in the hotel’s inviting restaurant. Here, you can indulge in delightful local cuisine while basking in the warm ambiance and enjoying a captivating view of the beach. The restaurant also offers vegetarian menu options to cater to diverse dietary preferences.
Diving and other Activities
Nestled in a meticulously selected region renowned for its exceptional diving opportunities and breathtaking landscapes, Tompokita Dive Lodge provides access to approximately thirty dive sites of remarkable quality. These sites not only showcase the marvels of macro marine life but also unveil the captivating underwater scenery, complemented by an abundance of diverse marine species.
The dive center will do everything to ensure that you have a memorable experience. A guide will be at your disposal if you wish, and you can also choose where to dive. PADI courses are also available on request.
If you wish to take a break from diving, you can head out to the nearby Maleo bird sanctuary or visits the surrounding cloves, coffee and cocoa plantations. The more adventurous can go on a 3 days hike to the summit of the Tompokita volcano.
How to get there
The resort is one and half hour drive from the Luwuk airport. Domestic flights are available from Jakarta, Bali, Manado and Makassar.
