The number seven holds sacred meaning in local tradition, paying tribute to Wae Rebo, a revered traditional village in West Manggarai. In Wae Rebo, the number symbolizes reverence for the seven directions of the mountain – seen as a guardian and protector of the village – and this spiritual significance is deeply woven into the essence of Manulalu’s jungle sanctuary.
