Itinerary North Raja Ampat Diving Liveaboard

Day 1: Arrival in Sorong
Arrive in Sorong, the gateway to Raja Ampat. After boarding Dewi Nusantara, meet the crew, settle into your cabin, and get familiar with the vessel. Enjoy a welcome briefing and dinner as the boat sets sail overnight toward your first dive destination.
Day 2: Mioskon & Kri
Start the adventure in the heart of the Dampier Strait. Dive the vibrant reefs and energetic seamounts of Mioskon and Kri, including iconic sites like Cape Kri and Blue Magic. Expect fast currents, swirling schools of fish, and possibly mantas or reef sharks. Between dives, enjoy the view of jungle-draped islands and pristine waters.
Day 3: Yangello
Explore the rich underwater terrain around Yangello, with standout dive sites like Mayhem and Batu Dalam. These sites are known for their soft coral gardens and high-energy currents that bring large schools of fish and pelagics. Calm channels lined with mangroves also offer the perfect setting for split-level photos.
Day 4: The Equator Islands (Kawe)
Cross the equator underwater while diving in the Kawe region. Visit Eagle Rock and other vibrant reefs teeming with pelagic fish, reef sharks, and the occasional manta. Drift through dramatic seascapes carved by strong currents. Above water, these remote islands offer stunning natural beauty and a true sense of remoteness.
Day 5: Wayag
Dive into the stunning underwater pinnacles and drift sites around Wayag, where visibility is often exceptional. Glide past soft coral-covered slopes and schools of barracuda and trevally. After diving, hike up one of Wayag’s famous limestone peaks for a panoramic view over its turquoise lagoons.
Day 6: Quoy & Uranie
These less-visited islands offer a mix of challenging dives and serene landscapes. Explore massive underwater caverns and dramatic drop-offs at sites like Castle Quoy and Halimedia Wall. With minimal boat traffic, enjoy a peaceful day of diving and top-side exploration.
Day 7: Aljui Bay
Today is all about critters. Aljui Bay is home to steep walls covered in fan corals and macro life like pygmy seahorses and nudibranchs. At night, dive under the piers of the Cendana Pearl Farm to encounter the walking shark, wobbegongs, and a host of fascinating nocturnal creatures.
Day 8: Wofoh Islands
Enjoy scenic diving along Wofoh’s dramatic reef walls and coral slopes. Sites like Edi’s Black Forest are packed with life, from black coral bushes to swarms of reef fish. After diving, unwind on Wofoh’s white sand beaches or snorkel in its calm lagoons.
Day 9: Arborek
Head to the manta cleaning stations at Arborek Reef, such as Manta Sandy and Manta Ridge. These sites are known for close manta encounters in shallow waters. Arborek Pier also offers great macro dives and a vibrant night dive. Explore the friendly village or relax on deck in the afternoon.
Day 10: Penemu
Dive the famous Melissa’s Garden, a kaleidoscope of hard corals and reef fish. Other sites like Batu Rufus and Barracuda Ridge provide stunning drift dives with potential big fish sightings. Later, climb the wooden staircase to the Penemu viewpoint for one of Raja Ampat’s most iconic photo ops.
Day 11: Birie
End the diving with critter-rich sites near Birie and the Batanta coast. Explore shallow macro dives and possibly WWII wrecks like the P47 aircraft near Wai Island. It’s a perfect end for underwater photographers and macro enthusiasts.
