Itinerary
Day 1: Embark in Sorong Port
Your adventure begins as you board the Ilike liveaboard in Sorong, Western Papua. After settling in, we’ll start our journey toward some of the most biodiverse dive sites on earth.
Day 2: Yangeffo / Dampier Strait
Explore the nutrient-rich waters of Dampier Strait, home to larger predators like giant trevallies, yellowfin tuna, and sharks. We’ll dive through vibrant table corals, perfect for spotting wobbegong sharks.
Day 3: Penemu Area
Dive into the famous Penemu area, with its stunning underwater landscapes and vibrant reefs, perfect for both macro and big animal enthusiasts.
Day 4-6: Misool Area
Discover the spectacular biodiversity of Misool, where you’ll encounter giant sea fans, soft corals, and bustling coral gardens. Dive among seamounts, pinnacles, and coral walls, and keep an eye out for the elusive epaulette (walking) shark and manta rays.
Day 7: Pisang Island
Stop at Pisang Island, known for its pristine white sandy beaches and exceptional diving, offering a perfect blend of coral reefs and marine life.
Day 8: Momon Waterfall & Snorkeling
Dive at the stunning underwater seamounts near Momon, and snorkel at one of the few waterfalls that empties directly into the sea, surrounded by lush jungle.
Day 9-11: Triton Bay (South/North Aiduma)
Journey to Triton Bay, an untouched gem known for its vibrant coral reefs and fascinating marine life. With fewer divers in the area, the reefs remain pristine, and you’ll enjoy exceptional diving with nutrient-rich currents and colourful soft corals.
Day 12: Bitsjara Bay (Whale Shark Spotting)
Dive in Bitsjara Bay, a prime location for spotting the elusive whale sharks that follow the shoals of anchovies. While sightings aren’t guaranteed, the chance to snorkel or dive with these gentle giants is unforgettable.
Day 13: Disembark in Kaimana Port
Your incredible journey ends in Kaimana Port. After a final morning dive, we’ll disembark, filled with memories of one of the most diverse and untouched regions on the planet.
