Itinerary

Day 1: Bali (Check-in)

  • MSY Seahorse crew are standing by to Welcome you onboard. Safety Briefing, Crew Introduction, Necessary Dive Paperwork, Cabin allocation and ship orientation will take place before departing. During the first day take this opportunity to familiarize with the vessel and make yourself comfortable. 

Day 2: Gili Islands (3-4 dives)

  • Located in the northwest of Lombok Island, The Gili’s offer easy dives to start the cruise. Wreck dives, rich macro life, lots of turtles, reef sharks and plenty of colorful reef fishes over nice coral gardens. 

Day 3: Moyo (3-4 dives)

  • Before reaching the Komodo National Park we spend 3 days around the large island of Sumbawa. These locations include Pulau Moyo in the north, Sangeang in the north-east tip and Banta in the east. All these locations offer stunning diving with a wide marine biodiversity to discover. Seamounts, walls, Pinnacles, coral gardens, drift dives and Macro dives in the volcanic sand of Sangeang.

Day 4: Sangeang (3-4 dives)

  • Pulau Sangeang and his majestic volcano, also a community of boat builders living there with their family. We will do 3 dives on the black sand of this beautiful volcanic island. Soft and black corals, very colorful and contrasting with the black sand. Lots of macro. Volcanic gas releases.

Day 5: Banta (3-4 dives)

  • Famous dive sites as Hightway to hell, K2… and also cleaning station for reef mantas. Beautifull sunset watching Sangeang volcano, night dive then we will heading to Pulau Sangeang.

Day 6: North Komodo (3-4 dives)

  • This 1.700 km2 marine protected area boasts incredible biodiversity underwater. Divers can encounter an impressive range of marine creatures, including manta rays, sharks (white tip, black tip, grey…) turtles, Napoleon wrasses, octopuses, pygmy seahorses, and an array of colorful reef fishes. The park is also known for its great diversity of fixed fauna. The north of the park is predominantly colonized by hard coral whereas the south has an impressive range of soft coral and tunicates.

Day 7: North Komodo (3-4 dives)

  • In the north, you can find a collection of the world’s most beautiful selection of reefs, boasting a rich combination of hard and soft corals, shoals of antheas, wrasses, angelfishes, and also predators—reef sharks, tunas, and giant kingfishes. North Komodo offers a wide variety of dives: pelagic dives with sharks in strong currents, gentle drift dives, wall dives (colorful drop-offs, monumental boulders, seamounts, pinnacles and sandy slopes) and macro dives.

Day 8: Central Komodo (3-4 dives)

  • You are now in the central area of Komodo protected marine park, with clear and warm waters. The dive choice depends here greatly of the tides, as some of them must imperatively be dived at a certain stage of the tide. Sites offered are Batu bolong (a rock with dramatic seascape, huge boulders, and prolific fish life including reef sharks, napoleon wrasses, giant trevallies, etc) , Batu Mandi, Tatawa Besar ( a drift with the best soft corals of the park) , Tatawa Kecil, Siaba…and more.

Day 9: South Komodo (3-4 dives)

  • Starting the day diving 2 times with majestic mantas! Heading to Nusa code aka horse shoes bay, afternoon dive and night dive. The water is rather cold and the temperature can drop to 22 ° C in July and August. In Nusa Kode you will see more soft corals with amazing profusion of colors, and much more macro…as Cannibal rock a world class macro heaven. The plan is 3-day dives plus a night dive. Day 10: Central Komodo (3-4 dives)

  • You are now in the central area of Komodo protected marine park, with clear and warm waters. The dive choice depends here greatly of the tides, as some of them must imperatively be dived at a certain stage of the tide. Sites offered are Batu bolong (a rock with dramatic seascape, huge boulders, and prolific fish life including reef sharks, napoleon wrasses, giant trevallies, etc) , Batu Mandi, Tatawa Besar ( a drift with the best soft corals of the park) , Tatawa Kecil, Siaba…and more.

Day 11: North Komodo (1-2 dives)

  • Another day in the north, we will dive some highlight sites as Shotgun or Golden passage, the plan is 3-day dives plus a night dive. End of the day ascending amount to admire the sunset and the magnificence of Komodo mountains.

Day 12: Labuan Bajo (Check-out)

About The MSY Seahorse

MSY Seahorse is a traditional Indonesian sailing Phinisi that offers scuba diving adventure and charters, providing a luxurious experience. The boat has been cruising and sailing to the most breathtaking destinations in Indonesia, like Raja Ampat, Komodo, Halmahera, and Banda Sea.

The Boat

Built in 2005 and refurbished in 2018. MSY Seahorse features 8 spacious cabins which can accommodate up to 16 guests in 5 twin bed cabins and 3 double bed cabins. The cabins are located on the main and lower deck. The main deck cabins provide a sea view through two generous windows, conveniently located just steps away from the boat’s spacious camera room. Each cabin is designed to provide a cozy ambiance after a day of adventure. All cabins come with en-suite bathroom, individually controlled AC, hot shower, towel, and toiletries.

The boat is suitable for avid divers, underwater photographers, videographers, and dive professionals, offering amenities and facilities to enhance their underwater adventures. There is a spacious and bright camera room, equipped with numerous outlets and ample space to accommodate all.

Dining

The restaurant is located on the main deck, equipped with air-conditioned and a TV. Enjoy a diverse dining experience that includes all meals and snacks. MSY Seahorse boasts a delectable Indonesian-Western menu prepared by their skilled chef on board. It served in the spacious dining area with panoramic views of the ocean.
