If you’re looking for a longer trip that blends Bali’s best diving with island landscapes and cultural days on land, this 13-day Bali – Gili Islands Dive Safari brings you from Amed’s volcanic reefs to Padang Bai and Candidasa’s vibrant sites, then across the water to Gili Air’s easygoing drift dives before ending with a relaxed cultural stay in the south of Bali. Itinerary
Day 1: Arrival in Bali and Transfer to Amed
Arrive at Ngurah Rai International Airport in Denpasar. Meet your driver and travel east toward Amed, a quiet coastal village known for diving and black-sand beaches. The drive takes around 3 hours, passing scenic rice terraces and mountain views. Check in to your hotel and relax for the evening.
Day 2: Diving in Amed
Begin your dive safari with two fun dives around Amed Bay, exploring coral reefs and gentle drift sites ideal for your first underwater experience. Free afternoon. Overnight in Amed.
Day 3: Diving in Tulamben and Night Dive
Head north for two dives in Tulamben at the USAT Liberty and the impressive Tulamben Drop Off. Free afternoon. Night dive in Amed starts at 5.30pm. Overnight in Amed.
Day 4: Transfer to Padang Bai (Non-Diving Day)
After breakfast, drive along Bali’s east coast toward Padang Bai, stopping at cultural highlights along the way:
- Tirta Gangga Water Palace, known for its beautiful fountains and lily ponds.
- Ujung Water Palace (Taman Sukasada), a peaceful royal garden overlooking the ocean.
- Optional activity: White-water rafting
Day 5: Diving in Padang Bai
Today’s dives feature Padang Bai’s colorful reefs and critter-rich muck sites. Common sightings include leaf scorpionfish, ornate ghost pipefish, and blue-spotted stingrays.
Day 6: Diving in Candidasa
Dive Candidasa’s more adventurous sites such as Gili Tepekong or Gili Mimpang (conditions permitting). These areas are home to healthy coral walls, schools of snapper, and reef sharks.
Day 7: Transfer to Gili Air
After breakfast, transfer to Padang Bai Harbor and board the fast boat to Gili Air. Check in to your hotel and enjoy the afternoon at leisure – relax by the beach or explore the island by bicycle.
Day 8: Diving in Gili Air
Start your Gili diving experience with two fun dives with Manta Dive Gili Air. Typical sites include Hans Reef and Meno Wall, known for turtles, reef fish, and gentle drift dives.
Day 9: Diving in Gili Air
Enjoy three dives at sites like Shark Point, Turtle Heaven, and Manta Point (conditions permitting). Spend the evening exploring Gili Air’s beach cafes or simply relaxing by the water.
Day 10: Gili Leisure Day
Start the morning at leisure in Gili Air. You can relax on the beach, snorkel, or enjoy a slow island breakfast before checkout. In the afternoon, take the fast boat back to Sanur, where your driver will meet you on arrival. Check in to your hotel in Sanur and spend the evening at your own pace.
Day 11: Ubud Cultural Day
Spend a full day exploring the highlights of Ubud with your private driver. Visit sites such as Goa Gajah Temple, the Campuhan Ridge Walk, Tegallalang Rice Terraces and other cultural spots in central Ubud. Overnight in Sanur.
Day 12: Uluwatu & Jimbaran
Head south for a full day around the Bukit Peninsula. Visit Uluwatu Temple, walk the clifftops, enjoy the Kecak Dance at sunset and end the evening with a relaxed seafood dinner on Jimbaran Beach. Overnight in Sanur.
Day 13: Departure
Relax, spa, shopping before your transfer to the airport.t.

Prerequisites
