Itinerary

Day 1: Makassar – Rantepao

Arrive at Makassar Airport, where a friendly guide will greet you. Begin your 9-hour journey to Toraja, passing through the picturesque Bugis tribe area with views of traditional houses, ponds, and mountains. Enjoy lunch at a local restaurant in Pare Pare, then continue to Bamba Puang Valley for a refreshing stop. Arrive in Rantepao by early evening, check into your hotel, and relax for the rest of the day.

Day 2: Explore Toraja

Embark on a fascinating tour of Toraja. Visit the stunning cliffside stone graves in Lemo, the unique baby grave in a tree in Pote, and the royal tombs at Suaya. Enjoy lunch at a local restaurant, then explore the traditional villages of Tumbangdatu, Karuaya, and Kete before returning to your hotel for a free evening.

Day 3: Market and Nature Tour

After breakfast, visit the lively buffalo and pig market in Bolu, then discover the megaliths in Bori and the traditional village of Palawa. Take a leisurely walk through the village and rice fields, observing daily life before heading back to your hotel.

Day 4: Hiking Adventure

Set out for a morning hike through the mountains, visiting local villages and coffee plantations. After exploring the lush landscape, a car will pick you up for lunch at a local restaurant. Continue your hiking journey, enjoying views of karst rocks and interacting with local villagers. Return to your hotel for a free evening.

Day 5: Journey to Sengkang

After breakfast, check out and head to Sengkang to explore the scenic beauty of Lake Tempe. Navigate around the floating houses and observe fishing activities and local birdlife. Enjoy dinner at a local restaurant before returning to your hotel for a relaxing evening.

Day 6: Rammang Rammang – Makassar

After breakfast, depart for Makassar with a stop in Soppeng to see the impressive bats roosting high in the trees. Continue to Rammang Rammang for a boat ride along the Pute River to Berua village. If time permits, visit the enchanting firefly cave and explore the karst rock park. Enjoy lunch at Ecolodge Restaurant before heading to Makassar and checking into your hotel.

Day 7: Departure

Transfer to Sultan Hasanuddin Airport for your onward journey. End of the tour.
