Experience the beauty of Amed’s underwater world with our half-day Coral Farming Snorkeling Course. This course is tailored for freedivers and snorkelers who want to deepen their understanding of coral ecosystems. Your action will directly contribute to setting up new coral structures and enhancing reef restoration in the area.
The first part of the course focuses on the theory of coral identification, where you’ll learn about various coral species. Then in the second part, you’ll put your new knowledge to the test at coral nursery dive sites, practicing coral planting and contributing to reef restoration efforts in Lipah Bay. This course provides both educational and hands-on experiences, allowing you to gain skills in coral identification and make a meaningful impact on preserving Amed’s beautiful reefs.
Schedule
Time: 8.30 AM – 2.30 PM
Part One: Theory and Identification of Corals
- Introduction and knowledge of coral biology and identification of species
- Identify corals of different growth forms and species and relate the knowledge to corals in the nurseries and restored areas
Part Two: Coral Nurseries Dive Sites for Reef Restoration and Coral
- Plant corals on spiders from the beach
- Snorkeling on the coral nursery with professional guide
