Blue Dream Phinisi
Blue Dream is a 35-metre handcrafted phinisi built for diving and exploring the richest corners of eastern Indonesia. She carries up to 14 guests across seven ensuite cabins, runs with a crew of 15 including professional dive guides, and cruises Raja Ampat, the Banda Sea, South Halmahera and the reefs of northern Sulawesi depending on the season.
The boat
Blue Dream is a 35-metre wooden phinisi, handcrafted in the centuries-old Bugis boatbuilding tradition of South Sulawesi and designed by a diver for divers. The layout puts comfort first, with generous luggage and bathroom space, indoor and outdoor dining areas, a coffee and tea corner with a proper espresso machine, and a dedicated diving preparation area. She runs with a crew of 15, including dive guides who know these waters well, and is built to spend long stretches at sea in Indonesia’s most remote dive regions.
Cabins
Blue Dream sleeps up to 14 guests across seven ensuite cabins. The upper deck holds three Master rooms, each with a double bed, wraparound picture windows and a private balcony. The lower deck has four further cabins, each with twin beds that convert to a double. Every cabin is ensuite, with air conditioning, a day bed and plenty of storage. Trips run for a minimum of seven days and six nights.

Diving and daily life on board
A typical day runs three to four dives, all led by professional guides, with tanks, weights and weight belts included and full dive gear and nitrox available for rental. Between dives you are looked after with freshly cooked meals, snacks, soft drinks, coffee and tea throughout the trip. Starlink satellite internet keeps you connected even at the most remote anchorages, which is still rare on a traditional phinisi. Every package is built around diving, and the boat is just as welcoming to non-divers who want to explore the islands at a slower pace.
Where she goes
Blue Dream Phinisi follows the seasons around eastern Indonesia. Depending on the time of year she cruises Raja Ampat and Misool, South Halmahera and Ternate, the macro-rich reefs of Lembeh, Gorontalo and the Togian Islands, Wakatobi, and the remote Banda Sea between Ambon, Banda and Saumlaki.
