Kelana

Kelana is a modern take on the Phinisi, the boat type that once carried spices from Indonesia’s Spice Islands to Europe. Built in 2012, this 16-metre vessel sails Komodo National Park and the islands around it.

Living on The Kelana

Kelana takes up to 6 passengers in three cabins: a master cabin, a double and a bunk cabin. The interior is wood throughout, and air conditioning and ensuite bathrooms come as standard.

There are dining areas inside and out, with wooden tables, sea views and room for six. The chef cooks Western and Asian-inspired meals.

Diving in Komodo National Park

Komodo National Park is a UNESCO World Heritage site. The dive sites hold giant trevally, groupers and schools of anthias.

There are three dives a day with a dive master, and full diving equipment is on board.

Other Activities on Kelana Liveaboard

There is more to Komodo than the diving.

The islands rise into dry savannah hills above the water. Snorkelling runs over coral gardens and seamounts, where rays and hawksbill turtles are regular sightings.

On land, you can see Komodo dragons in their own habitat and trek across the park.

Wake up early for a morning yoga session overlooking the ocean. Look out for dolphins gliding below the bow, or relax on bean bags and daybeds.
