Manggis Garden Dive Resort

Manggis Garden Dive Resort

Manggis Garden Dive Resort sits near the dive sites of Padangbai and Candidasa in east Bali, which makes it an easy base for the diving. It also works for anyone who is not diving and wants somewhere quiet with a view.

Each villa is designed differently, built to traditional Balinese architecture with Indonesian detailing throughout.

The Accommodation

Family House with Garden View

The Family House runs to 50 sqm over two floors and takes up to seven people, with an extra bed available. It sits among the gardens and is built to traditional Balinese design.

Balinese House with Mountain View

The 25 sqm Balinese House faces the mountains, built to traditional Balinese architecture. It suits couples or solo travellers.

Javanese House with Ocean View

At 28 sqm, the Javanese House has traditional Javanese detailing and an ocean view, with the sea breeze running through it.

Sumatran House with Ocean View

The Sumatran House, also 28 sqm, blends elements of Sumatra’s heritage with spectacular ocean views. With its cozy design and private balcony, it’s an excellent choice for couples or anyone looking for a unique and relaxing stay near the sea.

Scuba Diving around Candidasa and Padangbai

The dive sites around Candidasa and Padangbai offer some of the island’s most thrilling diving experiences. These neighboring areas are known for their healthy coral reefs and regular encounters with larger marine species.

The Padangbai Jetty is the macro site here, holding frogfish, ghost pipefish and nudibranchs. The Blue Lagoon, a sheltered bay perfect for beginner divers and training, contrasts with more challenging sites like Gili Mimpang where reef sharks and large schools of jacks are commonly spotted.

Between June and October, lucky divers might encounter the mysterious Mola Mola (oceanic sunfish) at deeper sites like Gili Tepekong and Gili Biaha, where strong currents and cooler waters attract these unique creatures. Water temperatures can drop significantly during Mola Mola season, making this area particularly interesting for experienced divers seeking diverse marine life encounters.
