Manta Dive Resort Gili Air is more than just a dive center – it’s also home to comfortable and beautifully designed bungalows set in a peaceful tropical garden. With a mix of traditional Indonesian architecture and modern facilities, the resort offers a relaxing escape just steps from the beach. Guests can enjoy air-conditioned rooms, hot water, private terraces, and a freshwater swimming pool, making it a perfect place to unwind after a day of island adventures.
There are three types of accommodation to choose from – Traditional Bungalows, built in the style of Sasak homes, Garden Rooms, ideal for families with some offering connecting doors, and Deluxe Bungalows, tucked away in a quiet area for extra privacy. Breakfast is served on the terrace or by the ocean, facing Mount Rinjani across the water. Manta Dive Gili Air works for divers and for anyone who just wants a quiet week on the Gili Island.
The Bungalows
Traditional Bungalows
The Traditional Bungalows at Manta Dive Resort Gili Air are inspired by Sasak-style Lombok rice barns, featuring wooden construction, a thatched roof, and an open-air bathroom for a true island experience. They sit among the gardens a few steps from the beachfront, with air conditioning, hot water, a private terrace and a safety deposit box. Breakfast comes to your terrace or is served at Manta Taqueria, which looks across at Mount Rinjani and the Lombok coastline.
Deluxe Bungalows
The Deluxe Bungalows sit in the tropical garden, set apart from the dive shop and restaurant for privacy. They have traditional Alang-Alang thatched roofs with air conditioning, hot water, a fridge and a private open-air shower. There is a private terrace, a freshwater pool with poolside service, and breakfast at Manta Taqueria facing Mount Rinjani and the Lombok coastline.
Garden Rooms
The Garden Rooms are the larger, more modern rooms, set back in the gardens. Built in Balinese style in stone, with air conditioning, hot water, a safety deposit box and a private terrace over the hibiscus and tropical flowers. Some have connecting doors, which works for families. Breakfast is served on your terrace or at Manta Taqueria, facing Mount Rinjani and the Lombok coastline.
Diving Adventures at Manta Dive Gili Air
Manta Dive Gili Air is a well-established dive center offering both SSI and PADI certifications, from beginner to pro. With experienced instructors and small group sizes, it’s an ideal place to learn or advance your diving skills in a relaxed island setting.
Over 30 dive sites are just a short boat ride away, including well-known spots like Shark Point and Hans Reef. Sites are chosen daily based on conditions and suit all levels. Expect healthy reefs, turtles, rays, and the occasional reef shark. Daily fun dives and full gear rental are available.
