About boat trips in Komodo

Most Komodo boat trips are short, two nights and three days from Labuan Bajo, an easy flight from Bali. Longer trips of four to seven nights go further into the park, and a few cross from Lombok. On a typical trip you climb to the Padar viewpoint, walk with a ranger among the Komodo dragons, swim at Pink Beach and snorkel sites such as Manjarite, Taka Makassar, Manta Point and Kanawa, where mantas are often seen. The first evening often ends at Kalong Island as the flying foxes leave the mangroves. Trips run all year, and the seas are calmest from April to October. Park fees are paid on top.
