Scuba Diving Day Trip in Komodo
The Komodo National Park is known for its marine life and its dragons. If you don’t have the time or the budget for a liveaboard, these day trips cover much of the same ground.
You join a small group of 4 to 5 divers with a guide. The boat picks sites based on your level and the sea conditions, and each crossing takes 45 to 90 minutes. Water temperature runs between 25 and 30°C. Expect drift dives, coral gardens, manta rays, sharks and schooling fish.
Komodo offers a variety of diving spots that can suits every diver’s skills. For beginners, spots like Tatawa Besar offer calm waters and colorful reefs teeming with marine life, making it perfect for relaxed exploration and skill-building underwater.
Advanced divers can take on sites like Batu Bolong and Castle Rock, known for their coral walls, sharks and manta rays, and for strong currents.
Besides diving, there is a stop at Rinca Island to see the Komodo dragons. After the last dive the boat returns to the harbor in Labuan Bajo.
