Destination Highlights
Dampier Strait: Where Big Fish Gather.
Dampier Strait is one of the most reliable regions in Raja Ampat for marine life encounters. Strong currents bring nutrients that attract large schools of fish, reef sharks, and manta rays. This is where divers come for consistent action and high fish density.
Itinerary
Day 1
Guests meet at Marine Park Office in Waisai harbour at 11:30 for boarding, check-in, cabin allocation, equipment setup, and check dive.
Day 2
Four dives including a night dive, with a visit to Arborek Village.
Day 3
Three dives in Dampier Strait and Fam area, followed by a visit to the Piaynemo viewpoint.
Day 4
Four dives in Kawe area (weather dependent), including night dive.
Day 5
Three dives around northern Gam.
Day 6
Three dives in Dampier Strait, followed by a beach visit to see flying foxes.
Day 7
One final dive, equipment wash and pack down. Departure from JAYA around 11:30–12:00.
Guests can take the 14:00 ferry back to Sorong.
Certification Requirements
- Open Water Diver (OWD) or equivalent
- This trip is suitable for certified divers, including beginners
- Some dive sites may involve currents, so a basic level of comfort in the water is recommended

- Local dive contribution: IDR 500,000 per person per trip
- Harbour fee: USD 100 per person per trip
