Amaya Explorer

Amaya Explorer sails Komodo National Park, Raja Ampat, Alor and the Banda Sea. She is a 35-metre Phinisi built by local boatbuilders.

About Amaya Explorer

The Phinisi was built in Bulukumba, Sulawesi, by boatbuilders working in a tradition passed down through generations. Amaya took two years to complete.

The main deck has day beds, seating and open views, and it is where the chef serves meals and coffee.

The Master deluxe room is on the upper deck, with a balcony over the sea and an en suite bathroom stocked with organic toiletries from local suppliers. The two master suites have a connecting door, which works for families.

The lower deck houses the exclusive digital lounge, thoughtfully designed to cater to your passion for underwater photography. It offers a dedicated desk to work on and set up your gear. Alternatively, it serves as an elegant and comfortable spot to relax while reading our collection of marine books.

The Cabins

ARUN 1 & ARUN 2 – Upper Deck

Each room has a king-size bed for two, full air conditioning and a private bathroom, on the upper deck with a sea view.

ANILA 1-4 – Lower Deck

Each room is equipped with a double size bottom bunk bed, comfortably accommodating two people, with full AC and a private bathroom.

AMBAR 1 & 2 – Lower Deck

Each room features a single-size bed in a bunk bed configuration, accommodating two people, with full AC and a private bathroom.

Activities On Board Amaya Explorer

Diving is the focus, but there is also stand-up paddle boarding, kayaking, snorkelling, freediving and yoga. The dive routes turn up whale sharks and hammerheads, which suits underwater photographers. Advanced Open Water divers get the more demanding sites, including around Komodo Island.
