Looking for an affordable alternative to a liveaboard? Our Scuba Diving Safaris in Raja Ampat offer the same incredible underwater experiences – without sleeping on a boat. Instead, you’ll stay in cozy, locally-run homestays on stunning islands, diving world-renowned dive sites.

Between dives, relax on powdery white-sand beaches or immerse yourself in the vibrant local culture by visiting nearby villages. By staying in traditional Papuan homestays, you directly support the local community. Accommodations are simple but comfortable, featuring basic huts with a mattress, mosquito net, shared bathroom, and a front porch with breathtaking views. Meals are served in a communal dining area and typically include fresh fish, rice, vegetables, and fruit. Vegetarian meals are available, though options may be limited.

5 Days / 4 Nights Raja Ampat Scuba Diving Safari

Day 1: Arrival & First Dive

We’ll meet at the camp in Waisai at 12:00, where you’ll be welcomed with lunch. If you’re arriving by ferry, let us know in advance and we’ll arrange a pick-up. After lunch, we’ll complete the necessary paperwork and get your dive gear set up. Around 14:00, we’ll head out to our first dive site near Friwen Island for your first underwater adventure. In the late afternoon, we’ll continue to Besir Bay, where we’ll spend our first night in a local island homestay.

Day 2: Jellyfish Lake & Piaynemo Reefs

After breakfast, we journey towards the Fam Islands. Along the way, we’ll stop for snorkeling in the magical Jellyfish Lake – home to harmless, stingless jellyfish – and then enjoy dives at some of the most beautiful coral reefs in Raja Ampat. We’ll spend the night on a nearby island in the Fam area, surrounded by tropical nature.

Day 3: Exploring Piaynemo

Wake up to the serene beauty of white sandy beaches and island views. In the morning, we’ll do two dives around the Piaynemo Islands, known for vibrant coral gardens and schools of fish. After the dives, we’ll hike the famous 355 steps to the iconic Piaynemo viewpoint – worth every step for the unforgettable panorama. In the afternoon, we’ll make our way back to Central Raja Ampat and stay overnight in a homestay in Arborek village.

Day 4: Mantas & Reefs of Kri

Our day begins with breakfast and a dive at the famous Manta Point – keep your eyes open for graceful manta rays gliding by. Next, we’ll explore two more dive sites around Mansuar and Kri Islands, known for their rich marine life and healthy reefs. After the third dive, we’ll head to our homestay on Kri Island for the night.

Day 5: Final Dives & Return to Waisai

On our way back to Waigeo, we’ll fit in two more dives – including one at a stunning jetty and another at one of Raja Ampat’s most iconic sites. We’ll return to Base Camp in time for lunch. You’ll be back in Waisai in time to catch the 14:00 ferry to Sorong.

6 Days / 5 Nights Raja Ampat Scuba Diving Safari

Day 1: Arrival & First Dive

We’ll meet at Scuba Republic Base Camp in Waisai at 12:00 for a welcome lunch. If you’re arriving by ferry, just let us know in advance so we can arrange a pickup. After lunch, we’ll complete the necessary paperwork and set up your dive gear. Around 14:00, we’ll depart for your first dive near Friwen Island. After the dive, we’ll head to Besir Bay where you’ll spend your first night in a local homestay.

Day 2: Jellyfish Lake & Fam Islands

We kick off the day with a scenic journey to the Fam Islands. Along the way, we’ll stop to snorkel in the unique Jellyfish Lake – home to stingless jellyfish – and enjoy dives at some of the area’s most colorful coral reefs. We’ll spend the night on one of the nearby islands in the Fam region.

Day 3: Piaynemo Dives & Iconic Viewpoint

Start the morning with a beautiful sunrise and two dives around the Piaynemo Islands, known for lush coral gardens and thriving marine life. After diving, we’ll hike the 355 steps up to the famous Piaynemo viewpoint for breathtaking panoramic views. In the afternoon, we cruise back toward Central Raja Ampat and spend the night in a homestay on Arborek Island.

Day 4: Mantas & Reefs of Kri

After breakfast, we dive at the legendary Manta Point, where you may encounter these graceful giants. The day continues with two more dives around Mansuar and Kri Islands – areas rich with fish life and vibrant reef systems. That evening, we settle in for the night at a homestay on Kri Island.

Day 5: Central Raja Ampat Exploration

After waking up to sunrise on the beach, we explore Central Raja Ampat’s best dive sites – known for massive schools of fusiliers, jacks, and snappers. Depending on the season, you might even catch a glimpse of pelagic species. In between dives, we’ll visit the sandbars near Kri Island for a relaxing surface break.

Day 6: Final Dive & Return to Waisai

On our way back to Waigeo, we’ll stop for one final dive at one of Raja Ampat’s most iconic sites. Afterward, we return to Base Camp for lunch. You’ll arrive in time to catch the 14:00 ferry from Waisai back to Sorong.

7 Days / 6 Nights Raja Ampat Scuba Diving Safari

Day 1: Arrival & First Dive

We’ll meet at Scuba Republic Base Camp in Waisai at 12:00 for lunch. If you’re arriving by ferry, let us know in advance so we can arrange a pick-up. After lunch, we’ll handle the paperwork and prepare your dive gear. Around 14:00, we’ll head out for your first dive at Friwen Island. After the dive, we’ll continue on to Gam Island, where you’ll spend the night in a local homestay.

Day 2: Central Raja Ampat Dive Sites & Bat Island

Today features three dives at some of Central Raja Ampat’s most iconic sites. In between dives, we’ll stop by Bat Island and enjoy lunch on a beautiful beach. After the final dive of the day, we’ll make our way to Besir Bay for the night.

Day 3: Jellyfish Lake & Fam Islands

Adventure awaits as we journey toward the Fam Islands. Along the way, we’ll snorkel in Jellyfish Lake and dive vibrant coral reefs teeming with life. Tonight, we stay on a nearby island in the Fam region.

Day 4: Piaynemo Dives & Iconic Viewpoint

Start the day with a peaceful sunrise and two dives around the Piaynemo Islands, where lush coral gardens and dense schools of fish await. After diving, we’ll hike up 355 steps to the famous Piaynemo viewpoint – one of the most breathtaking panoramas in Raja Ampat. Later, we cruise back to the central region and spend the night in a homestay on Arborek Island.

Day 5: Manta Point & Reefs of Mansuar and Kri

After breakfast, we begin the day with a dive at Manta Point, followed by two more dives around Mansuar and Kri Islands – both known for their vibrant reef ecosystems and abundance of marine life. After the third dive, we head to our next homestay on Kri Island.

Day 6: Central Raja Ampat Exploration & Sandbar Visit

Wake up to a stunning sunrise and set out for more dives around the Central Raja Ampat region. This area is known for large schools of fusiliers, jacks, and snappers. During the day, we’ll also visit seasonal sandbars around Kri Island for a relaxing surface break. In the evening, we return to our Kri Island homestay to enjoy the sunset and your final night in paradise.

Day 7: Final Dive & Return to Waisai

On our way back to Waigeo, we’ll do one last dive at one of Raja Ampat’s most iconic sites. After that, we head to Base Camp for lunch. You’ll return in time to catch the 14:00 ferry from Waisai to Sorong.
