Ocean Earth Travels
Maringi Sumba

Maringi Sumba

Maringi Sumba is a boutique eco-lodge in Southwest Sumba, built almost entirely from bamboo and natural materials. It doubles as a training school for sustainable hospitality. Mananga Aba Beach is ten minutes away, Tambolaka Airport five kilometers.

Each pavilion is designed with comfort, calm, and connection in mind. Between the whisper of palm leaves and the gentle scent of the earth after rain, you’ll feel the rhythm of island life at every turn.

Bamboo Pavilion

The Bamboo Pavilion is 30 m², open-air, built from local materials and surrounded by gardens. Sumbanese design, a king-sized bed with mosquito netting, and a terrace.

Pool Pavillion

The Pool Pavilion is 60 m² and opens onto the pool area. King or twin beds, a semi-open bathroom and private outdoor seating.

Sumba Hospitality Foundation

Maringi Sumba is run by the Sumba Hospitality Foundation, which gives local young people education and hands-on training in sustainable tourism, so they can go on to work in hotels and restaurants.

Every stay funds that training directly.
