Pearl Beach Cottage

Pearl Beach Cottage

Selayar Island lies off the southern coast of South Sulawesi, inside Indonesia’s third-largest marine sanctuary. Pearl Beach Cottage sits on a white sand beach there, well away from anywhere busy.

There is snorkelling on the reef and diving at Selayar Wall, which is the site the island is known for, with long drop-offs. Tours run around the island, and the beachfront restaurant serves fresh local dishes.

With just four traditional “lumbung”-style villas, Pearl Beach Cottage provides a unique and intimate escape. Surrounded by nature and offering modern comfort, this secluded haven is perfect for relaxing, reconnecting, and experiencing the simple joys of life.

The Villas

There are four “Lumbung”-style villas, some facing the sea and some set back in the gardens. Each runs to 50 sq m (540 sq ft), built to traditional Indonesian design with modern fittings: a private terrace, a queen-size bed, air conditioning, a double vanity bathroom with organic products, a minibar and beach towels.

Beachfront Villas: Lumbung Nemo & Villa Penyu

The “Lumbung” Nemo and Villa Penyu face the sea, with the white sand beach a few steps away.

Exotic Garden Villas: Lumbung Kupu-kupu & Tarsius

Kupu-Kupu and Tarsius sit back in the tropical garden, a short walk from the beach and the quietest rooms on the property.
