The Kalyana Ubud Resort

The Kalyana Ubud Resort sits in Banjar Kumbuh, in Mas, the woodcarving village just south of Ubud. It looks out over jungle and rice fields, and central Ubud is about 20 minutes away by car.

There are 25 rooms and villas in four types, from deluxe rooms in a two-storey building to wooden villas with their own pool. A free shuttle runs into Ubud on a set timetable, so you can spend the day in town and come back to somewhere quiet. It works well at the start or end of a Bali trip, before or after time on the coast or a dive trip.

Accommodation

Every room and villa sleeps two adults and a child, or three adults with an extra bed. Breakfast is included, served from a set menu at the restaurant.

Deluxe Room with Garden View

42 m² rooms with a terrace on the ground floor or a balcony upstairs, both over the garden. You can choose a king bed or two singles, which makes this the easy pick for friends travelling together.

Deluxe Room with Pool View

The same 42 m² layout, facing the main pool. King bed only, with sliding glass doors onto the terrace or balcony.

One Bedroom Villa with Private Pool

A 100 m² villa with a king bed, a bathtub and large sliding doors that open onto a private pool and the jungle beyond. Sun loungers on the terrace.

One Bedroom Wooden Pool Villa with Rice Field View

The resort has ten of these, more than any other type. Each is a 100 m² wooden villa with a king bed, its own pool and a view over the rice fields, with tropical planting around it for privacy.

Dining and spa

D’Made Restaurant seats 26 and looks over the jungle and the pool. The menu is Indonesian and Balinese, and the kitchen is open from 7am to 11pm.

Karti Luwih Wellness looks out over the jungle of Kumbuh village. Treatments use organic essential oils and plants grown locally. It is open from 9am to 9pm.
