About diving in North Sulawesi
North Sulawesi gives you two kinds of diving on one trip. In Bunaken Marine Park, vertical walls drop away under you, turtles turn up on most dives and visibility often passes 30 m. In the Lembeh Strait, the black sand hides some of Indonesia's rarest critters. The region can be dived all year, and the dry season from April brings the clearest water at Bunaken. Liveaboards here mostly run nine to eleven nights as crossings to or from Halmahera and Raja Ampat, from Bitung, Manado or Sorong.
