Mischief

Mischief is a 29 m wooden phinisi for private charter only, with 3 cabins for up to 6 guests. She sails Komodo National Park through the year and runs longer routes to Sumbawa, Alor, the Banda Islands and Raja Ampat. The whole boat is yours: you choose the dates, the length of the trip and how the days are spent.

The Komodo Suite takes the upper deck: 27 m², a 2 m king bed, a sofa and a private balcony. On the main deck, the Sumba cabin has a king bed and the Banda cabin can be set up as a double or as two singles. All three are air-conditioned and have their own bathroom with hot water. Meals are served indoors in the saloon, which has a small library, or out on the upper deck. The sundeck has a bar, and there is Starlink Wi-Fi on board.

Komodo trips start and end in Labuan Bajo and run from 4 to 7 days. You climb to the Padar viewpoint, walk with a ranger among the dragons on Komodo or Rinca, snorkel the reefs and watch the flying foxes leave Kalong Island at dusk. A 7-day route continues west to Sumbawa, with Satonda’s crater lake, the waterfall on Moyo Island and Saleh Bay, where whale sharks are often seen but never guaranteed. Further east, Mischief sails from Maumere to Alor, or from Labuan Bajo to Alor in 12 days. She also runs 7 to 10-day trips around the Banda Islands from Ambon, and 6 to 12-day trips in Raja Ampat from Sorong.

Snorkelling and diving gear are on board, along with a compressor, two paddleboards, canoes and a surfboard. The rate covers airport and hotel transfers in Labuan Bajo, all meals, the national park entrance fee and one beach dinner on trips of three nights or more. Flights, hotels on land, alcohol, insurance and crew tips are extra.

Rates are for the whole boat, up to 6 guests, and include 12% VAT. A charter that starts away from the boat’s base adds a relocation fee of half the nightly rate for each night of the transfer. Open dates are on the charter calendar below. Contact us to hold them.
