Katembe Raja Ampat

Katembe is a privately owned island resort in Kabui Bay, Raja Ampat, 30 minutes by speedboat from Waisai. It is Indonesian-owned and Indonesian-run.

It sits inside the Coral Triangle, which holds the highest recorded marine biodiversity anywhere. You can dive the reefs, paddle the lagoons, or do very little.

Diving Adventures at Katembe Raja Ampat

Katembe has a PADI dive centre on site. The guides take beginners and experienced divers to the sites Raja Ampat is known for: wobbegongs, reef sharks, schooling fish and coral walls. Courses and fun dives run all year, in small groups.

Katembe Restaurant brings the flavors of Indonesia to life with three beautifully prepared meals a day – each including an appetizer, main course, and dessert. In the late afternoon, guests can also enjoy traditional snacks like pisang goreng and klepon during a daily teatime ritual.
