Reconnect Resort sits on Buka Buka Island in the Togean Islands of Central Sulawesi, and it is the only accommodation on the island. Rooms range from those looking out over the water to bungalows that open straight onto the sand.
Reconnect Resort exemplifies eco-friendly practices through its commitment to supporting local communities and preserving the natural environment. Fish is bought from local boats using traditional methods. The resort runs on solar panels installed on site. It also works with community projects that protect marine life and habitats around the island.

Sunrise Villa
Looking out over the Gulf of Tomini, close enough to hear the water at night. A beachfront bungalow with a sunrise deck, room for up to 2 extra beds, and a short walk from the main resort areas

Maison Coco
Beach front bungalow with white sand beach a few steps away from the front door. This beach front 1-bedroom villa features all the comfort you can dream of on a remote island, while still staying connected to nature. All the reservations are full board (all meals included), with the option to accommodate various types of diets, on request.



Villa Athena
Villa Athena is a newly built private villa with garden, just 30m from the white sand beach. Compared to the other resort’s room, it offers full privacy, and includes a range of available activities, such as snorkeling, stand up paddle, kayak, beach volley. The rate includes all the meals, and you can either have your food cooked on site at the villa, or enjoy it at Reconnect’s restaurant.



Diving at Buka Buka Island
The diving around Buka Buka runs over healthy reef in clear water, with sea turtles, schools of tropical fish and hard coral formations. Reconnect works to responsible diving practice across the sites it visits in the Togean Islands, keeping groups small.
With water temperatures ranging from 27°C to 30°C year-round, comfortable dives are guaranteed, enhanced by visibility is usually good. You can expect nudibranchs, giant clams, black tip sharks and dolphins.
