Begin your adventure by embarking from Sorong Harbour and boarding the vessel. The cruise leader will brief on boat safety, an overview of the trip, equipment set up and then settle into your accommodations. Upon arrival at the check dive site, the dive crew will outline the upcoming dive sites and safety protocols. This dive is designed to refresh your skills and ensure your comfort in the water. You'll explore a nearby dive site, assessing your gear and diving proficiency. Afterwards, we will sail to Misool for approximately 18+ hours. Due to the long hours to reach Misool, guests flying to Sorong are expected to arrive before 8 am or recommended to stay a night before in Sorong to avoid flight delays. As part of the sailing experience, expect a range of delightful boat movements from a small wobble to more adventurous waves.

After an overnight of sailing we welcome you to the gem of Indonesia, Misool, one of the four major islands in Raja Ampat. These waters offer unparalleled scuba diving experience with breathtaking underwater biodiversity and pristine coral reefs. The region's protected marine areas ensure the preservation of its rich ecosystems. Explore a psychedelic world in this area that has various dive sites from fringing reefs around small islands, slopes, walls, pinnacle, and swim through with prominent soft coral and sea fans densely covering the reef. Expect to be blown away by friendly mantas, curious turtles, school of trevally, barracuda, batfish, and many more. Possible dive sites: Two tree rock, plateau, Pet rock, Yelit kecil, nudi rock, tank rock, boo window, fourkings, gorgonian passage, boo east, magic mountain, love lagoon.

Get ready for another tropical underwater playground diving in an unspoiled landscape combination of unique rock formations with a teeming multitude of marine species. After enjoying the 2 last dives in Misool, we venture to a unique sanctuary in the remote corner of Raja Ampat, a magical lagoon home to the famous stingless jellyfish. Getting there involves scenic trek over sharp limestones, where proper shoes or booties are definitely the must wear gear. Dip in the lagoon and get personal with these jellyfish, and don't worry they won't bite or sting. Pain free swimming in the refreshing lagoon while enjoying the lush green scenery of the area. What more can you ask for? Saying thank you to Misool for such memorable experience, it's time to rest and relax on the boat while we sail for around 15 hours+ to Pyanemo for another adventure. Possible dive sites: Twin rock, wagmab, farondi, jellyfish lake.

After breakfast, gather for a briefing that outlines today's dive sites: Melissa Garden, My Reef, Batu Rufas and Galaxy. Melissa Garden is a renowned dive site characterized by an incredible carpet of healthy corals. Be prepared as the other dive sites are as stunning, such as My Reef where there is a high chance to encounter schools of barracuda as they glide through the water and Batu Rufas where you'll find a striking underwater frame perfect for striking a pose. In the afternoon, switch gears for some exploration on land and embark on a short trek to Pyanemo Point, famous for its stunning overlook of the turquoise lagoon below. Night dive will depend on weather conditions. Possible dive sites: Melissa Garden, Rufus, My Reef, Galaxy.

We'll have an early start as today's dive is another highlight. Depending on flight schedule, guests are able to opt for 1 dive due to no 24 hours no fly requirement or can participate for 2 dives. Blue Magic, as the name suggests, is like diving into the magic world underwater. School of fishes, sharks, and corals, not to mention the critters you might find lurking on the reef. Get ready for the big prize, oceanic manta ray, might come occasionally cleaning themself above the reef. For the second dive, Mioskon, is also a mesmerizing dive site with so many fishes swimming around the shallow reef. After the last dive, the crew will help wash and dry scuba equipment while sailing back to Sorong.

You'll explore a nearby dive site, assessing your gear and diving proficiency. Afterwards, we will sail to Suanggi for approximately 16+ hours. Due to the long hours to reach Suanggi island, guests flying to Ambon are expected to arrive before 8 am or recommended to stay a night before in Ambon to avoid flight delays. As part of the sailing experience, expect a range of delightful boat movements from a small wobble to more adventurous waves.

After an overnight of sailing we welcome you to Suanggi Island, located 20 km northwest of Banda Neira. The boat will only go when the conditions are right. Currents can be strong yet we will be rewarded with dozens of fish and large predators such as Hammerheads, barracudas and dogtooth tuna. Possible dive sites: Jackpot, Suanggi Ridge, The Wall.

Banda Neira, a gem in Indonesia's Maluku Islands, is a dreamy destination for travelers seeking pristine natural beauty, fascinating history, and rich marine life. Known as part of the famous Banda Islands, this small, tranquil island boasts white sandy beaches, crystal-clear waters, and vibrant coral reefs, making it a haven for snorkeling and diving enthusiasts. Visitors can explore historical landmarks such as Fort Belgica, a Dutch colonial relic, or walk around the traditional market for breathtaking views of the surrounding islands. Possible dive sites: Pohon Miring, Lava Flow, Batu Kapal, Lighthouse, Mandari night dive, Karnopol.

Hatta Island, is renowned for its untouched white sand beaches and vibrant dive sites. The island's crystal-clear waters host thriving coral reefs teeming with marine life, making it a dream destination for diving and snorkeling enthusiasts. Popular dive spots like Karang Hatta offer stunning underwater landscapes filled with colorful corals, reef sharks, humphead, and countless tropical fish. Possible dive sites: Karang Hatta, Tanjung Buton, Goa Hatta.

Manuk is located in south Banda. The island is truly unique and famous around the world due to is incredibly large population of sea snakes. Most commonly seen is the banded sea krait. Possible dive sites: Manuk ridge, Bubble reef, Manuk.

Diving in Laha, Ambon, is internationally acclaimed for its outstanding muck diving experiences, featuring rare and camouflaged creatures such as Rhinopias (scorpionfish), frogfish, ghost pipefish, and a variety of octopus species (including mimic, blue-ringed, and wonderpus). The site showcases sandy slopes and jetty debris, making it a macro paradise perfectly suited for underwater photographers. The dives are shallow, rich in critters, and have minimal current, all while being part of the larger, nutrient-dense Ambon Bay, which is celebrated for its diverse macro life.

Dicing around Gam Island is an exhilarating experience where underwater enthusiast can expect colorful reef fish, healthy corals and sightings of the majestic Wobbegong Shark. At Mayhem, the dive experience is thrilling due to the drift dive, however rewarding because sometimes one can encounter schooling barracudas. A note for newcomers should be aware that these sites can present challenges such as strong currents, varying visibility and depth factors. Let our divemaster how you feel and suggest a comfortable plan for the dive. Possible dive sites: Citrus Ridge, Mayhem, Gam corner.

Highlight dive site Manta Sandy features a shallow channel nestled between sandbanks, where manta rays are frequently seen being cleaned or occasionally feeding. Diving at Manta Sandy requires dive operators to book ahead the dive slot with strict rules that we must follow, such as entering and exiting the water on time based on the booking schedule. The dive site is a simple sandy bottom, where divers kneel down to watch the mantas in the cleaning station. It is highly recommended to bring a pointer as it may be helpful where there is strong current when kneeling. Possible dive sites: MantaSandy, Yenbuba jetty.

Afterward, we move to the village of Sawandarek, where we typically encounter a sizeable green turtle. Not to mention the shallow reef and the jetty with all the fishes. Then we head to Cape Kri, a divesite renowned for one of the most biodiverse locations in the world, with stunning coral reef slope and school of fishes. As night falls, we will dive in Saporkren, a sand slope without any reef or no coral. However, you know what to expect in this kind of dive right? Possible dive sites: Sawandarek, Cape Kri, Chicken reef.

Your journey begins on the historic spice island of Ternate, where the dramatic silhouette of Mount Gamalama rises above the skyline. After a smooth embarkation, we set sail southward, leaving behind the island's storied past. As the vessel glides across deep blue waters, soak in sweeping views of volcanic peaks and remote coastlines. The horizon unfolds toward the untouched southern reaches of Halmahera, a wild frontier shaped by fire and sea, where nature remains raw, powerful, and largely undiscovered.

Wake up in the tropical embrace of Sali Bay, where coral-rich slopes teem with schooling fish, and reef sharks and turtles glide through warm, clear waters. We continue to the dynamic Pantini Strait, where strong currents channel nutrientrich flows that energize the reef. Expect exhilarating drift dives alongside vibrant coral fans, sea whips, and dense schools of snapper shimmering in the blue.

The Joronga Islands reveal a quieter side of Halmahera, a serene chain of islands edged with white-sand beaches and luminous turquoise lagoons. Dive sites here offer gentle conditions, flourishing soft coral gardens, and intriguing macro life. Between dives, unwind in calm waters, swim in sheltered lagoons, or step ashore onto beaches rarely touched by visitors.

Today we venture into the remote Goraici Islands, where isolation has preserved reefs in nearpristine condition. Explore sloping reefs and coral-draped ridges alive with large schools of fish. With luck, encounter rays or blacktip reef sharks cruising through the blue. The raw, unspoiled nature of this region makes every dive feel like true exploration.

At Makian Island, dramatic landscapes continue beneath the surface. Diving in the shadow of its towering volcano reveals a striking mix of black sand slopes, lava formations, and deep reef drop-offs. Geothermal activity adds a surreal dimension, while unique critters and occasional pelagic visitors bring constant surprises to these volcanic waters.

Diving around Tawali typically features a mix of reef slopes, walls, and occasional pinnacles. The reefs here benefit from nutrient flow across the wider Halmahera Sea, supporting both small critters and mid-sized pelagics.

Our final dive destination, Failonga Island, offers steep walls, colorful overhangs, and exceptional visibility. Healthy reefs host nudibranchs, groupers, and reef sharks, making for a rewarding final series of dives. Later, relax on board or explore nearby shores, with sweeping views back toward Halmahera's northern coastline.

We return to Ternate, where your journey began. As you disembark the Amaya Explorer, carry with you vivid memories of coral kingdoms, volcanic horizons, and one of Indonesia's most untouched archipelagos.
