The Resort offers two daily boat dives/snorkeling outings and unlimited access to the 900-meter house reef. The schedule is flexible and can be arranged to set the best dive times and sites based on tides, currents, and marine life. Boat dives are usually in the morning and afternoon, with house reef access afterward. On days with tricky currents or distant sites, Alor Divers provides double morning dives and early afternoon house reef dives. Guests also can customize a dive schedule for group of minimum 4 divers/snorkelers.
Getting to Alor Divers Resort
Traveling to Alor Divers Resort is straightforward with daily flights from Jakarta, and connections from Bali and other Indonesian cities with an overnight stay in Kupang (return flights can be made in one day). To ensure smooth diving operations and resort logistics, we follow this schedule:
- Free Transfers: Available on Wednesdays and Sundays for scheduled arrivals and departures.
- Recommended Flights Between Kupang and Alor (Daily):
- Arrival: 09:10 – Wings Air IW1943
- Departure: 09:30 – Wings Air IW1942
- Non-Scheduled Transfers: A 105 USD surcharge per way for arrivals or departures on other days.
Upon arrival at Alor airport, the driver will greet you and facilitate your journey to Alor Divers Resort via a scenic 40-minute car ride from the airport, followed by a 20-minute boat excursion across Pantar Strait to reach the resort.
Best Time to Visit
Alor Divers Resort welcomes guests from mid-March to mid-December, the prime season for exceptional underwater visibility. Summer offers comfortable conditions with dry, cool nights—packing a light jacket for the evenings is recommended. From June to October, the region experiences minimal to no rainfall, ensuring a mosquito-free environment. While the sea can be choppy during the summer months, most dive sites remain well-protected and accessible.
