Itinerary

Day 1 – Bali Departure

Check in on board Mermaid II between 13:00–15:00 at Benoa Harbour. Settle into your cabin, set up gear, attend the safety briefing, and enjoy dinner as you cruise overnight toward Moyo Island.

Day 2 – Moyo Island & Labuan Haji

Your underwater adventure begins with dives at Angel Reef, Little Angel Reef or Panjang Reef. Think massive sponges, white tip sharks, and vibrant reef life. Night dive in Labuanhaji for frogfish, bobtail squid, and more.

Day 3 – Whale Sharks of Saleh Bay & Satonda Island

Start the day with an unforgettable snorkel/dive with whale sharks around bagans (fishing platforms) in Saleh Bay. Later, dive Satonda’s macro sites and enjoy a night dive after watching millions of bats at sunset.

Day 4 – North Komodo

Explore top sites like Gili Banta, Crystal Rock, Castle Rock and Batu Monco – known for big pelagics, stunning reefs, and thrilling currents.

Day 5 – South Komodo & Dragons

Two dives at Manta Alley, followed by a land excursion to meet Komodo’s iconic dragons. End the day with a night dive.

Day 6 – Gili Lawa Laut to Sangeang Volcano

Two morning dives in North Komodo followed by critter hunting and a village visit at Sangeang Volcano.

Day 7 – Sumbawa & Moyo Island

Wrap up with two more dives among cuttlefish, turtles, ghost pipefish, and schools of reef fish before cruising back to Bali.

The Mermaid II sails from Bali to Komodo, Raja Ampat, Ambon, the Banda Sea, Alor, Sulawesi, the Forgotten Islands and the Ring of Fire.

The Boat

The Mermaid II has 10 cabins and takes up to 18 guests. The deluxe cabins on the main deck have sea views, a double or twin setup and a private ensuite bathroom. The below-deck cabins are the cheaper option, with bunks, air conditioning and shared bathrooms.

The dive platform makes entries and exits straightforward, with fresh showers alongside. The dive deck has gear storage, camera tables and rinse tanks, and there are towels and hot chocolate after night dives.

Facilities

After all that excitement, it’s time to kick back and relax. Head to the dining room for mouthwatering meals, then chill out in the spacious saloon with your favorite drink from the bar fridge. Need entertainment? They’ve got you covered with movies, books, and even marine life guides to spark your curiosity.

The dining room, situated at the front of the main deck, serves delectable meals crafted to satisfy every palate. The spacious saloon offers comfortable lounges, large windows, and a bar fridge stocked with refreshments.

There are two outside decks. The shaded upper deck has a cushioned lounge suite.
