Completed in May 2015, Mimic is one of the most comfortable and well-appointed budget liveaboards operating in Komodo. Also unlike many boats here we limit the number of guests onboard to a maximum of 6 people, ensuring personal service for all our diving and snorkeling guests. Not only does this give our guests more space onboard to relax but it also allows them to enjoy diving and snorkeling at Komodo’s amazing dive sites in small groups for extra safety.
ON BOARD
On liveaboard trips the upper deck is converted to a sleeping area with comfortable mattresses, pillows, blankets and is of course covered to protect you from the elements. It’s very comfortable but also gives a feeling of being on an adventure, which you are!
Onboard we have a spacious dive deck, multiple areas to relax with comfortable bean bags and mattresses, and toilet with freshwater shower. Your onboard chef will prepare delicious meals four times per day (lunch is the first meal on the day of departure and the last meal on the day of return). Fresh water, tea and coffee are always available. There are charging points for electrical devices and ice cold sodas and beers for after diving. We also carry a kayak onboard for our guests to use to explore the white sand beaches and mangroves alone at suitable locations.
Whether you are diving, snorkeling or exploring the islands looking for the famous Komodo Dragons, Komodo will not disappoint. With stunning scenery both above and below the surface, this truly is a paradise for adventurous travelers.
SAFETY AND EQUIPMENT
We take the safety of our guests seriously. All our diving equipment has always been serviced regularly. The brand that we used is such as Mares, Aqua Lung and Apeks. We also limit group size to a maximum of 4 divers per group (often less). Dive sites are carefully chosen to suit each diver’s ability.
There are at least two crew members with EFR training for emergencies on each trip. Mimic has equipped with modern safety equipment.
