An overland tour of Flores to Waerebo Village and Ruteng. In Waerebo you stay with the community, share meals and join in what the village is doing that day. The cone-shaped houses and the gatherings held in them go back centuries.

The route runs from the green hills around Cunca Plias to Ruteng and its spider web rice fields, laid out in circles by the Manggarai people. It combines time with people and time in the landscape.

Day 1

Cunca Plias Waterfall: a stop at the falls in the hills behind Labuan Bajo.
Spider Web Rice Fields: Discover the fascinating spider web rice fields, an agricultural marvel of the region.

Day 2

Scenic Lunch: Enjoy a delicious lunch at a local eatery, soaking in the local flavors and atmosphere.
Coffee Plantation: Explore the coffee-making process from bean to cup and enjoy a fresh brew at coffee plantation.
Trek to Waerebo Village: a trek up to Waerebo, known for its cone-shaped traditional houses. You spend the night in the village.

Day 3

Visit Ruteng: Head to Ruteng, where you can observe traditional weaving by local artisans.
Return to Labuan Bajo: Conclude your tour with a drive back to Labuan Bajo, enjoying the scenic views along the way.
