Itinerary
Day 1- Arrive into Kupang
Guests will arrive in Kupang and have time to get comfortable on the boat. There is a large crossing towards the Alor region, and we will depart once we have settled on the boat. No. of Dives: 0
Day 2 – Pantar Straits (East)
Beautiful rocky formation, and abundant life around the patches between the walls. We do see timid Mola Molas on the surface and and schooling dolphins hang in the near open waters. On the south-east of Pantar, Beangabang Bay has one of the top night dives in the country: the chance to hunt for octopus, ghost pipefish, unusual shrimp, Bobbitt worms colourful nudibranchs and lots of juvenile fish. Day 3 – Kalabahi
A change of underwater topography: A day dedicated to pure muck dive in the Kalabahi bay where we can look for wonderous, Rhinopias, Gosht pipe fish, seahorses. An underwater macro heaven. No. of Dives: 4
Day 4 – Pantar Straits (West)
Beautiful walls of macro and wide-angle subjects. Clean walls, abundant life and the always cooperative smile of the local community, specially the children who will like to be your underwater model. No. of Dives: 4
Day 5 – Rusa
This is a collection of 3 small islands in the middle of the cold water currents that flow between the islands of Kawula and Pantar. Spectacular rock formation, totally covered with corals, hard and soft, crinoids, and anemones. Almost impossible to find any space. In the shallow clouds of red anthias, deeper large snappers, sweetlips, giant groupers, passing sharks. As pure as it gets. Going in between the rocky bottom, slow, and eyes for Nudibranchs, small shrimps, soft coral crabs and other critters living and feeding along them. In between dives, we will head towards the open, and if we are lucky a blue whale can pay us a visit. No. of Dives: 4
Day 6 – Soangi & Waiwawong
Soangi is a small island well expose to the swells, its coral reefs are habitat of abundant life and whitetip sharks patrol in search of opportunities On the West coast Lembata amongst towering volcanos we arrive to Wai Wawong. This is excellent muck diving with a chance of seeing the elusive Rhinopias, Finger Dragonets, Ghost pipe fish and maybe even hairy frog fish. No. of Dives: 4
Day 7 – Tanjung Bacatan & Komba
In the north of Kawula island, Tanjung Bacatan is a classic. Deep slope that gently gives way to a wall, passing Tunas, Wahoo, and other pelagic are expected to be spotted. After two dives, we sail towards the volcano of Komba, active until very recently and always a beautiful sight. We will look for whales on our way. No. of Dives: 4
Day 8 – Pomana
The last dives are conducted within the Maumere bay, sloping reefs, a combination of sand and corals, chances to see pygmies in the numerous fans that we will find along these easy dives.
Day 9 – Disembark
Disembark at Maumere Harbour

About Damai I Liveaboard
Constructed in 2009 by the renowned builder Pak Hadji Baso in Tanjung Bira, South Sulawesi, Damai I embodies a harmonious blend of traditional craftsmanship and extensive knowledge gained from years in the Indonesian liveaboard diving industry.
Damai I offers spacious accommodations across its seven staterooms. Indeed, guests can choose from single cabins, twins, doubles, or indulge in the luxurious master cabins. Moreover, each cabin is elegantly furnished with queen- or king-sized beds and equipped with en-suite toilets and showers, ensuring comfort and privacy.

The Cabins 1 to 4 have a desk, a wardrobe, three reading lights and a bed side table. Of course, the rooms are fully air-conditioned and have en-suite facilities, where the shower has a dividing glass door.

It has a direct access to a private balcony, inside the cabins, the en-suite shower and toilet facilities are devided into two compartments. Of course the room is fully air-conditioned.



Upper Deck

In the cabin, there is a desk, in-room sink unit and en-suite combined toilet and shower facilities. Moreover, the room is fully air conditioned and is located on the upper deck with direct access to the sun decks.



Diving Experience with Damai 1

Furthermore, Damai 1 offers three local dive guides and one Instructor on board throughout your trip.
