The main deck holds the Gajah Mada lounge and dining room, with a large copper bas-relief of historic maritime scenes. There are shaded lounge areas on the fore and aft decks. The top deck is set up for ‘equatorial golf’, played with biodegradable ecoballs.

The MAJ oceanic has 6+1 cabins, designed by a land-based design team rather than a boatyard, which shows in the finish.

The Cruise the Spice Islands itinerary is the slower option, covering the colonial history, the reefs and the white sand beaches of the Banda Islands.
